ctet.nic.in The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has released the Central Teacher Eligibility Test (CTET) February 2026 notification for Level 1 (Class 1 to 5) and Level 2 (Class 6 to 8). Candidates can fill the online registration form from 27 November 2025 to 18 December 2025.

CTET Eligibility Criteria 2026

Level 1 (Class 1 to 5)

  • Code 01: Senior Secondary (50% marks) + 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education (appearing/passed)
  • Code 02: Senior Secondary (45% marks) + 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education (NCTE 2002 norms)
  • Code 03: Senior Secondary (50% marks) + 4-year B.El.Ed (appearing/passed)
  • Code 04: Senior Secondary (50% marks) + 2-year Diploma in Education (Special Education)

Level 2 (Class 6 to 8)

  • Code 01: Bachelor’s degree + 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education
  • Code 02: Graduation with 50% + 1-year B.Ed (appearing/passed)
  • Code 03: Graduation with 45% + 1-year B.Ed (NCTE norms)
  • Code 04: Senior Secondary (50% marks) + 4-year B.El.Ed
  • Code 05: Senior Secondary (50% marks) + 4-year B.A/B.Sc.Ed or B.A.Ed/B.Sc.Ed
  • Code 06: Bachelor’s degree with 50% + 1-year B.Ed (or B.Ed Special Education)
  • Code 07: Any candidate with qualified B.Ed recognized by NCTE

Level 1 (Class 1 to 5) – Total Marks: 150, Duration: 2.5 hours
